Residents of Bacolod City can settle their real property tax (RPT) for 2021 at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
The Land Tax Division of the Bacolod City Treasurer’s Office recently opened a temporary satellite office on the first floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central to accept advance payments for the RPT.
Residents can avail of the 20 percent discount if the RPT due for the whole year of 2021 or the first and second quarters of 2021 are fully paid before December 31, 2020, assistant city treasurer Arlene Memoria said.
While the City Treasurer’s Office at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) will continue receiving these RPT payments too, this service at the mall is to provide an additional venue for it so that payors need not all flock to the BCGC to pay for their RPT, she said.
This way, social distancing protocols can be better observed at these two sites, she added.
“This will make our services more accessible and convenient to our clients in line with our thrust to keep our city ‘business-friendly’ as it has always been our credo,” Mayor Evelio Leonardia said.
Service hours of the satellite office at Ayala Malls shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
From November 16 to 27, RPT payments at Ayala Malls will be accepted from Mondays to Fridays. From November 28 to December 30, the service will be made available daily – from Mondays to Sundays, except on December 25 when it shall be closed.
Clients must bring their previous year’s official receipt or tax declaration.
Those with inquiries can contact the Land Tax Division at 434-7950 and 09155226904, Memoria said.*
