A 43-year-old delivery rider was arrested after authorities seized around P442,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, Wednesday noon, May 6.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Jayp,” is a resident of Abada Escay, Brgy. Vista Alegre.
The operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office–Negros Island Region Regional Special Enforcement Team together with other law enforcement units.
The PDEA said they confiscated 21 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 65 grams with an estimated standard drug price of P442,000.
Also recovered from the suspect were the buy-bust money, an Android mobile phone, cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions, and a motorcycle.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
