PDEA 6 inaugurates Balay Silangan in Silay 

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6 (PDEA-6) opened the 74th Balay Silangan Reformation Center of Western Visayas in Silay City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, May 29. 

It is the 7th Balay Silangan in Negros Occidental, a press release from PDEA 6 said. 

“Balay Silangan” is a program that builds temporary shelters for drug offenders with the objective of reforming them into self-sufficient and law-abiding members of society. 

The opening of the building was attended by PDEA-6 Acting Regional Director Melvin Estoque, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office Director Col. Rainerio Chavez, Silay Police Chief Lt.Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, and Silay Mayor Joedith Gallego. 

It is located at the City Engineers Compound at Zamora Street in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay.*
