PACE wants fair probe of 18 PDMPD employees

The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) is hoping for a fair investigation of the 18 Negros Occidental Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD) employees who have been issued show cause orders.

They will not tolerate any misbehavior among the Capitol’s employees, but the 18 personnel should be given due process, PACE president Renelo Lastierre said Sunday, October 2.

Issued show cause orders were 13 drivers, a utility worker , three administrative aides and one special operation officer, Provincial Legal Officer (PLO) Alberto Nellas Jr. said on Friday, September 30.

The drivers were issued show cause orders for failure to comply with the rule on the submission of trip tickets immediately after they travel, Nellas said.

The other personnel were issued show cause orders for complaints against their behavior, he added.

Lastierre said the latest move of the PLO should serve as a lesson for all provincial government workers to always follow regulations as well as show respect to both their fellow employees and clients in order to avoid any problems.*
