Curfew in Negros Occidental will definitely continue, but the hours are likely to be reduced, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said Wednesday, November 10.
“The majority of the local chief executives would like to continue having curfew,” Lacson said, adding that he will issue an executive order on the matter on Thursday, November 11.
He is just waiting for the mayors’ reply to his question on whether curfew should be from 12 midnight to 4 a.m., Lacson said.
The current curfew in Negros Occidental is from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., Provincial Administrator Rafyfrando Diaz said.
A separate curfew for minors could be imposed, Lacson said.
Although minors in Negros Occidental towns and cities usually don’t stay out late, he said.
