The number of new COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City may be going down, but the deaths from the virus are still high.
There were 78 new deaths reported by the Department of Health on Wednesday, November 24.
Bacolod City had 45 new deaths and Negros Occidental had 33.
Negros Occidental has a total of 792 COVID-19 deaths and Bacolod City has – 707, the DOH report added.
Bacolod City has 562 active COVID-19 cases, the DOH said.
The Provincial Incident Management Team reported 523 active COVID-19 cases and a total of 1,677 COVID-19 deaths in Negros Occidental.*
