Neg. Occ, Bacolod 3rd, 4th placers in W Visayas 2024 tourist arrivals

Negros Occidental and Bacolod City came in third and fourth in Western Visayas in number of 2024 tourist arrivals, Department of Tourism data shows.

In first place was Aklan with 2,193,602 tourist arrivals, followed by Iloilo City with 1,001,028, Negros Occidental – 883,514, Bacolod City – 830,237, Iloilo province -333,526, Capiz – 282,929, Antique – 210,239 and Guimaras – 137,953.

The 5,873,028 tourist arrivals in 2024 brought in an estimated P73,869,418,809, the report showed.

Negros Occidental’s income was estimated at P7,925,120, 580 and Bacolod City’s was P7,544,520,354.

The WV growth in tourist arrivals from 2023 to 2024 was 9.57 percent.

Negros Occidental’s growth in tourist arrivals was 27.30 percent and Bacolod City’s was 6.32 percent, the report showed.*
