
An evacuation center in La Carlota City*
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will visit residents displaced by Kanlaon Volcano’s unrest in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, Friday afternoon, Feb. 21.
During his visit the president will be given a situational briefing on Kanlaon Volcano and efforts being undertaken to assist affected residents.
He will also lead the distribution of family food packs to 100 families.
His sister, Senator Imee Marcos, will also be at a separate venue in La Carlota City Friday afternoon to distribute Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation.
The president will join the 12 senatorial candidates of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas at a really at the Victorias City Coliseum Friday evening.
A Victorias City advisory said heavy traffic is expected around the Victorias City Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
For security reasons, certain items will be prohibited inside the Victorias City Coliseum during the event, the advisory said.
To be prohibited are guns, ammunition, knives, scissors, and other pointed items, matches, lighters, gasoline, fireworks, and explosives, tumblers, mugs, laser pointers, umbrellas, plastic bags, and balloons, it said.*
