A lending collector was shot to death by an unidentified person in Hacienda Paje, Brgy. Consing, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, on Monday, Aug. 19.
Jan Edriann De Leon, 26, a resident of Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, died after he was shot while he was riding a motorcycle.
He was shot on the back of his head by an unidentified suspect, the police said.
E.B. Magalona Police Chief, Maj. Kenneth Jay Gratones, said they are looking at the incident as a robbery hold-up attempt as the victim had fought back.
The money of the victim was stolen, the police said.
The victim was brought to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead, while the suspect fled.*
