Dr. Francis Gabriel Relota will be the new head of the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City, Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Tuesday, June 25.
Relota is the current TLJPH Chief of Clinics, who is in charge of the hospital’s day-to-day operations.
He will replace Dr. Mary Ann Maestral who has been appointed Department of Health undersecretary, Lacson said.
Maestral informed him that she is accepting the position of undersecretary, the governor said.
“We would like to thank Dr. Maestral for all that she has done to improve the services of Teresita that is now at level two and headed for level three”, Lacson said.
“Dr. Relota is also committed to continue the improvement of the services in Teresita,” he added.
Maestral, who has headed the TLJPH since 2021, said the succession plan at the hospital is in place.
She has 30 days for the turnover, Maestral said.*
