The third most wanted person in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, was arrested by Iloilo City policemen in Brgy. Ungka Jaro, Iloilo City, on Monday, Feb. 17.
Aalias “Kalongo”, 41, of Brgy. Oringao, Kabankalan, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by the court on Dec. 7, 2022 with no bail recommended, the Police Regional Office-6 reported on Friday, Feb. 20.
“This arrest clearly shows that your police are committed to account for the remaining wanted persons in the region”, BGen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 Director, said.
“Despite the case not being under the Iloilo City Police Office, we exerted effort to locate and arrest the subject”, he said.
The accused is detained at the Iloilo City Police Office, Police Station 3, and will be turned over to the court.
Meanwhile, the police also arrested an alleged member of the New People’s Army wanted for murder in Barangay Bandila, Toboso, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
“Wil”, 34, an alleged member of yunit militia under the dismantled NPA North Negros Front and a resident of Calatrava town was arrested by the Toboso police.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder with no bail recommended.*
