Businessman Ian Manuel Lo is donating 1,000 bags of rice to Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya on his birthday to help the poor.

Gasataya turns 51 years old on Friday, November 19.

“I know this birthday gift is valuable to him as it can help his rice assistance program for the impoverished. It is important to him to help the poor amid the Covid-19 pandemic. I cannot think of any material gift for him because I know he will decline it if it will only benefit himself. His heart beats for his people and he will be happy if I give him 1,000 bags of rice, which will go a long way in helping the poor. This is voluntary on my part to share the immense grace that God is providing me,” Lo said.

Lo, president of Negros Grace Pharmacy, is a known friend and supporter of Gasataya.

“What we have in common is our sincere desire to help the needy, including other sectors too. Cong. Greg is receptive to the needs of his people. He is easy and accessible as a public servant,” Lo said.

He wishes Gasataya more blessings of good health, more years as Congressman of Bacolod, a loving family, and restful home, Lo said.

He will continue to help the congressman succeed in his public service, Lo also said.

“The more we give, the more we receive. The more we share, the more we are blessed by God,” he said.

Lo said Gasataya is a sincere and humble public servant.

“Help is voluntary to him. The Covid-19 pandemic showed how his office works overtime to help those people in need. His office sends food packages, financial aids, hospitalizations, requests for infrastructure projects while he fulfills his legislative works in Congress under the new normal. Congressman Greg empathizes with the people in need,” he said.*
