A high-value drug target was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Masaplod Norte, Dauin, Negros Oriental, Thursday, Nov. 20, where police seized an estimated P444,720 worth of suspected shabu.
Authorities confiscated about 65.4 grams of suspected shabu, along with drug paraphernalia, buy-bust money, and other evidence.
The operation was conducted at around 2:34 a.m. by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, together with the Dauin Municipal Police Station.
Police said the operation was carried out following coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspect.*
