Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson on Thursday, February 8, greeted the Filipino- Chinese community in Negros Occidental a happy Chinese New Year.

Filipino- Chinese communities are set to usher in the year of the Wood Dragon at midnight Friday.

Lacson said the provincial government hopes to continue to be a strong ally of the Filipino-Chinese community in the progress of Negros Occidental.

“We all know how much the Filipino-Chinese in every part of the country actually contribute to our economy,” he said.

“Negros Occidental as you can see is no exception, so many high rise buildings are going up and many of them are owned by the Filipino-Chinese here,” Lacson said.*
