A senior citizen died and his grandson was injured after their car collided with a Ceres bus along the highway in Purok Gumamela, Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, February 5.
Jaime Perido, 67, died while his grandson Maverick John Padayo, 18, was injured after their vehicle accidentally bumped into the bus driven by Juderic Satur, the police said.
The victim’s vehicle was going south to north when it went towards the road’s other lane resulting in the collision.
The collision resulted in the vehicle bumping into a mango tree causing injuries to the victims.
The victims were brought to Bago City Hospital but Perido was declared dead on arrival.
The bus driver voluntarily surrendered to the police.*
