Flooding hits 3 cities in Neg. Occ., too

Flooding hit three cities in Negros Occidental on Monday morning due to inclement weather brought on by Tropical Depression Kristine.

Flooding affected 26 families in Bago City and 268 families in Cadiz City, Bel Ploteña, Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD) head said.

Mayor Salvador Escalante said the evacuees went home in the afternoon said.

Flooding was also reported in Sagay City but no evacuations took place.

Bacolod City and several other LGUs in Negros Occidental cancelled classes due to heavy rain Monday morning.

Face-to-face classes will remain suspended in Bacolod City and EB Magalona on Tuesday.*
