Dengue cases in Negros Occidental decreased by 60.93 percent in January, the Provincial health Office reported on Thursday, February 1.
There were 59 suspected and probable dengue cases reported from January 1 to 27 this year, or 92 cases less than the 151 in the same period in 2023, the report said.
The highest number of dengue cases in January were in the cities of La Carlota, Sagay and Silay with six cases each.
There were no dengue deaths reported in January.*
