The Bacolod City Veterinary Office is continuing to conduct its mass rabies vaccination drive and is urging the public to have their pets vaccinated for free.
Assistant City Veterinarian John Michael Cabuguason said on Sunday, June 2, that they are aiming to vaccinate 70,000 dogs in Bacolod City.
So far they have vaccines available for 60,000 dogs, he said.
The mass rabies vaccination drive is scheduled in Sum-Ag – June 3-8, Punta Taytay – June 11-14, Cabug – June 17-21, Alijis – June 24-27 and Handumanan – July 1-4.
Cabuguason said they now have 42 dogs in the city pound in Barangay 35, Bacolod.
There are dogs at the pound that they have already rehabilitated and are ready for adoption, he said.
They are encouraging the public to adopt dogs from the pound, he said.*
