A man died in a motorcycle accident at Sitio Belez, Brgy. Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Thursday night, March 6.The victim was Jonard Cabarlo, 58, of Sitio Tuyuman, Brgy. Caradio-an, Himamaylan, the police reported.The victim came from the house of his parent-in-law in Brgy Buenavista when he suddenly lost control over his motorcycle.The motorcycle fell in a rocky part of the road. The victim sustained injuries and was declared dead at a hospital.The incident was self-inflicted, the police said.*

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson*The Negros Island Region is expected to  be fully operational in 2027 when   its regional offices will be  100 percent staffed  with full  operating budgets, Gov. Bacolod policemen arrested four persons and seized suspected shabu worth P1.9 million in a series of buy-bust operations Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7.Seized from them were 218 grams of suspected shabu worth  P1,910,800, the police said.Arrested were alias “Yan-Yan”, 29, and alias “Benjie”, 38, both tagged as street level drug personalities  in Brgy. There were  139 new  dengue cases in Negros Occidental  last week, Dr. Ma.
