A 36-year-old man drowned in a swimming pool in Hacienda Cornel, Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, 11:50 a.m. Thursday, June 12.The victim was a resident of Brgy. Tadlong, Sagay City, the police said.Police investigation revealed that after having lunch, the victim jumped into the swimming pool, and due to an undetermined factor struggled at the deep end of the pool.The victim was brought to St. Anne Medical Center in Cadiz City where he was declared dead.*

Two bird hunters found human skeletal remains near the Binalbagan River in Hacienda Lourdes, Brgy. San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, June 11.Maj.
