Bacolod PIO photoThe owners of the houses destroyed by a fire at Zone 2 of Purok Riverside in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, on Friday will receive financial assistance from the city government, Pacita Tero, Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) head, said Saturday, June 19.The fire totally destroyed 16 houses occupied by 18 families, she said.The city provides P10,000 to owners of houses destroyed by fires.Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leoardia checked on the fire victims on Friday, a Bacolod City government press release said.Tero said the City has extended food packs, tents, sleeping kits, and hygiene kits to the 18 families.Each family will receive financial assistance from the city government that is being processed now by the DSSD, she added.*
