An alleged card game argument left one person wounded after he was shot at Purok Newton, Brgy. Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental, Sunday night, October 24.
Injured was Antonio Jalandoon, 57, a driver, of the barangay.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect, who was identified by the police as Nonoy Dagit of Barangay Dulao, had a misunderstanding over their bets in the card game.
After their heated argument, the suspect went to relieve himself.
When Dagit returned, he suddenly shot the victim with an unknown firearm, hitting Jalandoon on the right leg.
The suspect then fled after the shooting.
Recovered from the scene was one slug of an unknown firearm.
The victim was brought to the Bago City Hospital and was discharged after the medical treatment.*
