A 57-year-old Australian national with a standing deportation order was arrested in Bacolod City, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported on Monday, July 20.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado in a report on the BI website identified the foreign national as Bradley Vincent Gould. He was apprehended in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City, on Thursday, July 16, by operatives of the bureau’s Regional Intelligence Operations Unit–Region VI.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine National Police, Naval Forces Central, and the Philippine Air Force, Viado said.
Gould was the subject of an existing warrant of deportation issued by the bureau following complaints of harassment and psychological abuse filed against him. He was located through intelligence monitoring and arrested after BI operatives confirmed his identity, Viado added.
Following his arrest, Gould was informed of his constitutional rights, transported to Manila, and turned over to the Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility in Muntinlupa City, where he will remain pending deportation.
Viado emphasized that the bureau remains committed to ensuring that foreign nationals who violate Philippine laws are held accountable.
“We will continue to enforce our immigration laws decisively and work closely with our law enforcement partners to ensure that those ordered deported are located, arrested, and removed from the country,” Viado said.*
