Bacolodnon sentenced to 2 life terms for drugs

A Bacolod resident was sentenced on Wednesday, May 31, to two life terms for the possession and sale of shabu to a policeman.

Bacolod Regional Trial Court Branch 52 Judge Raymond Joseph Javier found Jeboy James Poneles Bulaclac of Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod, guilty beyond reasonable doubt for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 that each carried the penalty of life imprisonment.

Bulaclac was apprehended for the sale of .532 gram of shabu for P1,000 to a police poseur buyer at Purok Kahirup, Barangay Singcang Airport-Bacolod on Aug. 15, 2022.

On his arrest 209.160 grams were recovered from his possession, the court decision said.

Bulaclac was also ordered to pay a fine of P500,000 for the sale of shabu and P1 million for possession.

The judge ordered the turnover of the seized drugs to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 for destruction and the immediate transfer of Bulaclac to the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for the service of his sentence.*
