Bacolod City surpassed its three-day national vaccination target of 66,000 vaccinees on Wednesday, December 1.
The city government from Monday to Wednesday vaccinated 67,828 residents against COVID-19, Em Ang, Emergency Operations Center executive director, said.
Vaccinated on Day 1 were 29,047, Day 2 – 19,237 and Day 3 – 19,544, she said.
The final vaccination figures of Negros Occidental for Day 3 were not available Wednesday night.
However, initial figures from the Department of Health showed Negros Occidental with the most number of vaccinees in Western Visayas as of 5:38 p.m. Wednesday with 35,229.
Negros Occidental also exceeded its 50,000 daily targets on Days 1 and 2 with the highest number of vaccinees in the region, the DOH added.
The province vaccinated 68,911 residents on Monday and 58,662 on Tuesday, a DOH official report showed.*
