The Chinese Embassy donated an ambulance worth P1.7 million to the Bacolod City government Monday, December 6.
The ambulance will be used by the Amity Volunteer Fire Brigade as they continue to be of service to Bacolodnons, a press release from the Bacolod City government said.
Amity Club Corporate Secretary Crispin Chua said that this is the first time the Chinese Embassy made a donation to Bacolod.
“They (Chinese) saw how the city of Bacolod has progressed under Mayor Leonardia and that’s why they gave an ambulance to the city which will be operated by the Amity Club,” Chua said.
Leonardia lauded the cooperation between the business sector and the LGU as a “potent force” that will continue to pave the way for Bacolod to reach new heights in the future.*
