Col. Lowell Garinganao, city police chief, said.The suspect later surrendered to the police.*

A drunken man was stabbed to death by his elder brother at Purok Kalubihan, Brgy. Bacong, Bago City, Negros Occidental, Sunday, August 14.Killed was 58-year-old Arturo Vicente, a laborer.The victim, who was said to be under the influence of liquor, met his brother, 65-year-old Hernane Vicente, at the road and challenged him to a fight.This prompted the suspect to run, but the victim chased him.When the suspect stopped due to shortness of breath, he drew his long knife and stabbed the victim on the chest.The victim was brought to the Bago City Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.The suspect who fled after the incident was later caught by the police.*

Police investigating the robbery incident at a 7-Eleven store.*Cauayan PNP photoTwo unidentified persons robbed a 7-Eleven store at Magsaysay Street in Brgy. Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Saturday, August 13.Initial investigation showed that the two suspects entered the store and held the cashier at gunpoint and declared hold-up.The  suspects carted away at least P20,000, which they took from the cash drawer.The police are still investigating the incident.*

A man was gunned down at Crossing Danao, Brgy. San Jose, Toboso, Negros Occidental, Saturday, August 13.Killed was 40-year-old Ryan Oland Julian.The victim was standing beside his motorcycle when he was shot to death by his assailants.Julian was shot on the chest causing his instantaneous death.Recovered from the scene was a fired cartridge of a .45 caliber pistol and a slug.The suspects fled  in an unknown direction after the incident.The motive of the killing has yet to be established.*
