American national wanted for alleged trespassing arrested in Binalbagan

An American national wanted for qualified trespass to dwelling was arrested in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Thursday morning, June 11.

Police identified the arrested person as alias “Jeffrey,” 50, married, a businessman from Long Beach, New York, and presently residing in Purok Banda, Brgy. Bi-ao, Binalbagan.

The Binalbagan Municipal Police Station said its tracker team arrested him at around 10:07 a.m. along Carmen Street, Brgy. San Pedro.

Police said the arrest was made through a manhunt operation against an other wanted person.

The warrant of arrest was issued by the Municipal Trial Court in Binalbagan on June 8 for qualified trespass to dwelling under Article 280 of the Revised Penal Code.

The court recommended bail of P36,000 for his temporary liberty.

Police said the arrested person was informed of his constitutional rights and the provisions of the Anti-Torture Law in a language he understood.

He is detained at the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.*
