4 new police chiefs installed in Negros Oriental

Four new police chiefs formally assumed their posts in Negros Oriental during a mass turnover ceremony on Thursday, July 9.

The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office installed Lt. Col. Romeo Cubo as chief of the Guihulngan City Police Station and Lt. Col. Jul Mohammad Jamiri as chief of the Bais City Police Station.

Lt. Col. Ricardo Tero assumed as officer-in-charge of the Tanjay City Police Station, while Maj. Antonio Jabar was installed as chief of the Jimalalud Municipal Police Station.

The ceremony was held at Camp Lt. Col. Francisco C. Fernandez Jr. in Sibulan and was led by Negros Oriental Police Provincial Director Col. Timmar Alam.

Four officers also assumed provincial staff positions.

Lt. Col. Lirio Coral was designated deputy provincial director for operations.

Lt. Col. Ser Ulrick Christian Gelera took over the Provincial Intelligence Unit, while Lt. Col. Kym Lopez assumed leadership of the Provincial Operations Unit.

Lt. Col. Ian Paul Arapols was assigned to head the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit.

NOrPPO said the changes are intended to ensure leadership continuity and strengthen police operations and public service across the province.*
