Bacolod City Water District-PrimeWater is projecting to attain 24/7 water supply in Bacolod City by 2026.
Bacolod needs 132 water sources and now has 178, with 46 of them deep wells, BACIWA General Manager Mona Dia Jardin said on Friday, Nov. 22.
“We already have sources of where we will get our supply and with 178, the 24/7 water supply for Bacolod can be attainable by 2026”, she said.
Currently, Baciwa supplies 84 million liters a day of water to its 71,103 concessionaires.
Jardin said that it can be increased up to 107MLD with the additional 25MLD from the Bacolod Bulk Water Incorporated Injection Facility 2 which will be operational in 2025.*
