A woman’s body was dismembered when a truck ran over her after she fell off a motorcycle at Burgos Extension, Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Jonalyn Lamis, 26, a call center agent and resident of Candoni, Negros Occidental, died after she was thrown off a motorcycle driven by her live-in partner Rexis Gallano.
Investigation revealed that Gallano overtook a 10-wheeler truck driven by Rolly Pelaez of Brgy. Galang, Oton, Iloilo, and accidentally collided with another motorcycle driven by Lloyd Arca of Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod, the police said.
Due to the impact, Lamis, who was the back rider of Gallano, was thrown towards the truck causing the vehicle to run over her, the police added.
The drivers of the motorcycles were also injured and brought to a hospital.*
