Two women were injured after they were hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road in Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City, on Monday night, April 6.
The driver, identified as a 35-year-old man, was reportedly traveling westbound when he struck the two pedestrians crossing the road.
Police investigation showed the driver allegedly miscalculated his speed and distance and was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Both victims, including a 69-year-old woman, sustained injuries and were brought to a hospital for treatment.
The driver was taken into police custody, while the motorcycle was held for proper disposition.*
