A total of 1,544 persons, the majority of whom were minors, were vaccinated against COVID-19 at Magikland in Silay City, Friday, November 26.
There were 1,087 who received their first dose and 457 who got their second dose, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
The vaccination drive was conducted by four mobile vaccination teams from the Provincial Health Office and the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, and two from Silay City, Diaz said.
The mass COVID-19 vaccination of minors aged 12 to 17 years was attended by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, and Silay City Administrator Jose Edward Davila.
The vaccinated minors were given free Magikland entrance tickets, which can be used after they are fully vaccinated.
Vaccination of minors is also available in all local government units of the province with prior registration at their respective town and city health offices, Diazsaid.
Among the other sites for pediatric vaccination in the province are the Cadiz District Hospital in Cadiz City and Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City.
Vaccinnation at Magikland will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until December 16, except for Monday, November 29, Jessric Naria , Magilkland OIC marketing manager, said.
After December 16 the mass vaccination at Magikland will resume in the second week of January, he said.*
