Three Negros Occidental candidates were substituted, while three others withdrew their certificates of candidacy, Provincial Elections Supervisor Ian Lee Ananoria said Thursday, November 18.
Anju Canillo, Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan mayoral candidate in Calatrava, was substituted by Jose Anthony Canillo on November 15.
In Toboso, candidates for councilor Rene Selladora of the Nationalist People’s Coalition was replaced by Gil Puedan Flores, and Paolo Villanueva of Lakas-United Negros Alliance by Efren Mandajoyan on November 15, Ananoria said.
Those who withdrew from running for councilor were Manuel Badillo (National Unity Party/United Negros Alliance) in La Carlota City, and Princess Patpat (Nationalist People’s Coalition) and Wilfredo Prietos Sr. (Lakas CMD) in Escalante City, he said.*
