Former Negros Occidental Gov. Isidro Zayco debunked speculation that he plans on running for mayor of Kabankalan City in 2025.
Zayco, who had also served as mayor of Kabankalan City, was seen with Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson during the distribution of assistance to farmers of the 6th District in Dancalan Ilog, on Thursday, August 17.
He had gone to Dancalan to speak with the governor and was surprised that he was asked to deliver a speech, Zayco said.
The former governor said was just joking when told the crowd he would run for office if pushed by the people.
Zayco told the crowd to support Lacson for a third term as governor and kept them in stitches with his jokes.*
