The grand launch of the PhilHealth Konsulta: Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama service delivery caravan was held at the Victorias City Coliseum on Thursday, September 12.

The event was spearheaded by Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez and the Victorias City Health Office, in partnership with PhilHealth Region VI, to further promote the Konsulta Package.

It is a program that offers comprehensive healthcare services to PhilHealth members, which focuses on early check-ups and preventive care, a press release from Victorias City said.

Dr. Richard Garlitos, Victorias City Health Officer, thanked PhilHealth for selecting Victorias City as the first site for the Konsulta Package launch.

“We are fortunate to be chosen as the pioneering city for this activity,” Garlitos said.

Health Undersecretary Mary Ann Palermo-Maestral lauded Victorias City for its proactive health initiatives.

She also acknowledged the crucial role of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in the success of PhilHealth’s programs and assured them of continued support, including efforts to increase their benefits.

Benitez emphasized the significant financial benefits the Konsulta Package will bring to Victorias, pointing out that PhilHealth has allocated P18 million for consultations.

He also announced that the Victorias City Health Office is close to becoming the first fully licensed Primary Care Facility in Region VI.

Benitez highlighted the importance of early check-ups to prevent more serious health concerns and reaffirmed the city’s full support for PhilHealth’s initiatives, the press release also said.*
