Victorias, ITBS ink MOA for smart city ecosystem

Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez with Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III on Monday, September 12, signed a memorandum of agreement with Information Technology Business Solutions Corp. (ITBS) for the launching of the Victorias Smart City Ecosystem which will fully revolutionize and digitalize the city operations, businesses, and profiling of all Victoriahanons.

ITBS was represented by its founder and chief executive officer and president John Paul Miranda.

Through ITBS, the Victorias City Citizen Mobile App will be launched. This will provide a variety of integrated and convenient online services, which include e-government services, online marketplace, online delivery services, online payment, entertainment, a 911 button, and other e-services, a press release from Victorias City said.

This project aims to empower Victoriahanons through the extensive use of information technology solutions and applications, the mayor said.

Benitez said the project will heighten the promotion of a cleaner and more inclusive Victorias City government.

ITBS Project Implementation Officer and Operations Manager Lester Morfe discussed the different projects and activities included in the agreement. This includes the launching of an Integrated Public Advisory and Consultation (IPACS) and 911 Emergency Management System (EMS), he said.

Victorias City will be the first local government to adopt this system in Visayas.

ITBS also presented their integrated modern technology and efficient solutions application to the Victorias City government on August 19.

City Administrator Lindolf De Castro, City Legal Officer Meddie Arbolardo Jr., Councilor Richard Julius Sablan, and the department heads were present at the event.*PR
