Vessel carrying PH sugar for US to depart Monday

A vessel carrying 25,300 metric tons of raw sugar from the   Philippines is scheduled to set sail from the Bredco Port in Bacolod City for the United States on Monday, September 2, Sugar Regulatory Administrator Pablo Luis Azcona said on Sunday.

The cargo vessel Tate J is expected to arrive in California, USA, in about a month, he said.

The 25,300 metric tons (MT) of raw sugar is being shipped out to fulfill the country’s US sugar quota allocation.

On Sunday morning they were loading the last 700 metric tons on the vessel, Azcona said.*
