Valenzuela resident wanted for rape nabbed in Bacolod

A wanted person from Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, was arrested by the police for alleged rape and sexual abuse in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, Monday, January 8.

Maximo Etquibal, a station-level most wanted person in Valenzuela, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest, the police reported.

The suspect was arrested for two counts of sexual abuse through lascivious conduct with bail fixed at P200,000 and two counts of rape with no bail recommended.

The warrant was issued by Judge Evangeline Francisco of the Regional Trial Court Branch 270 in Valenzuela on Sept. 14, 2021.

Before the incident, the suspect availed of the service of National Police Clearance, which alerted the e-warrant system.

Upon verification at e-warrant, it was learned that the suspect has a pending warrant of arrest.

The suspect is now detained at the Bacolod Police Station 4.*
