Himamaylanons and Negrosanons in south Negros will soon enjoy wider and faster cellular network and data connectivity as Mayor Raymund Tongson green lit a P390 million project in partnership with Phil Tower Consortium Inc. (PhilTower).
Tongson signed the memorandum of agreement with Kalvin Laurence Antonio Parpan, PhilTower Chief Governor and External Affairs Officer, on Thursday, Jan. 23.
Himamaylan City was granted this project following a recommendation from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Anti-Red Tape Authority, a press release from the city said.
“This recognition highlights the city’s strong performance and compliance with the programs and initiatives of these agencies,” Tongson said.
“This multi-million project will also serve as a go signal for investors. They will see that Himamaylan City is ready for continued development,” Tongson said.*
