Termite Gang eyed in attempted robbery

The Bacolod City Police Office is investigating the possibility that members of the Termite Gang were the ones who attempted to rob a supermarket in Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City, on Wednesday, August 7.

Col. Joeresty Coronica, BCPO director, said that they are verifying the reports that the robbery group named Termite Gang was behind the robbery attempt,

On Wednesday morning it was discovered that there were about two to four unidentified men who attempted to enter the supermarket by digging a hole in one of the drainages of the establishment.

The police recovered a jack, grinder, bolt cutter, and other tools used in digging through the drainage after the suspects fled.

Coronica said they are looking for the group’s local contacts as most of the suspects are probably not from Bacolod City.

He also tasked the BCPO’s investigation unit to track those who had similar previous records and check on whether they re-engaged in the crime.*
