Tanduay Bacolod Rum Fest competition winners named

The winners of the nine-day Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival competitions were announced by organizers in a press release Monday, August 22.

In the Culinaria competition Timplada Restaurant headed by Chef Jairus Cambelisa, with Florence Agraviador and James Karl Dulocanog as team members, was declared the Grand Champion. They were awarded P35,000.

Firs runner-up GT Hotel with Chef Glennuel Paul “GP” Ve-lasco, Dird Rojon Eslit, and Rosemarie Claire Gwyneth Apu-rado received P25,000, while second runner-up  26 Herb Garden with Chef Joeri Ricaredo Arro and assistant cook Roland Allan Lima received P20,000.

Denib Trangia was declared the grand champion of the Bottle Art competition and received a P10,000 prize.

Renmar Baring placed second and received P7,000, and Philip Aldrin Nalang placed third and received P5,000.

Consolation prizes of P3,000 each were awarded to Elvin John Frias and Rusty Quiatchon.

The Barrel Art competition winners, meanwhile, were Renmar Baring (first place), Elvin John Frias (second place), Albert Limbaña (third place).

 They were awarded P10,000, P7,000, and P5,000 respectively.

Tracy Uhlmann and Regine Pintor received P3,000 each as consolation prizes.*
