Talisay City Hall closed for two-day disinfection

The new Talisay City Hall will be temporarily closed from Thursday to Friday, January 27-28, for disinfection as a deterrent against COVID-19, Mayor Neil Lizares said Wednesday.

Normal business operations will resume on January 31.

He said a lawyer at the City Legal Office tested positive for COVID-19 and a lot of city government employees have colds, which are COVID-like symptoms.

Talisay City had 33 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 176 active cases on Wednesday, the Talisay City Health Office reported.

The city also had one new COVID-19 death.

The city has had 2,771 COVID-19 cases and 96 deaths since the start of the pandemic last year.*
