Bacolod S-PaSS unrestricted, approval immediate, Ang says
The S-PaSS application for travelers bound for Bacolod City is now unrestricted.That means they can directly apply through Bacolod City at https://s-pass.ph and will immediately be granted an S-PaSS, Executive Director Em Legaspi Ang of the Bacolod Emergency Operations Center-Task Force, said Thursday, November 24.The S-PaSS or Safe, Swift and Smart Passage is an online travel management system used for domestic travel.The city government earlier said applying for an S-PaSS was no longer required. Diaz: Capitol denies Orola S-PaSS for ‘fake’ address
The Negros Occidental provincial government denied the approval of the S-PaSS application of former Bacolod Rep. 2 Negrenses in top 10 of CE Licensure exam
Two Negrenses are topnotchers in the 2021 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday, November 25.Charlene Grace Varrera Gelotin of the University of Negros Occidental was in second place with a score of 92.75 percent, and Sirgie Lowell Alegro Rufo of the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College in Talisay City was in sixth place with a score of 91.50 percent.The PRC said 2,374 out of 6,474 passed the examination.The PRC conducted the first Civil Engineering licensure examination on November 14 and 15, in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.*
Clark flights to Negros in late December eyed
Flights from the Clark International Airport in Pampanga to the Bacolod-Silay Airport could resume soon, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Thursday, November 25.“We’re working on it…the suggestion is for flights to resume in the third week of December,” he said.Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific used to have flights from Pampanga to Negros before the COVID-19 pandemic, Diaz said.They had a 60 percent load factor and three flights a week, he said.The airlines are a bit hesitant to reopen because they might not have enough demand, Diaz said.The provincial government is working on making travel convenient and cheaper to improve the economy, he added.*
Cadiz, Bago mayors direct all employees to get vaccinated

Magikland vax drive for minors starts Nov. 26
The mass vaccination drive for minors aged 12 to 17 years old at Magikland in Silay City, Negros Occidental, will start Friday, November 26, wherein two entrance tickets to the theme park will be given to each vaccinated minor, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Thursday, November 25.Vaccination will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Friday to December 16, except for Monday, November 29, Jessric Naria, Magilkland OIC marketing manager, said.After December 16, the mass vaccination at Magikland will resume in the second week of January, he said.The vaccinated minors will have to rest and wait a week before they can use their free entrance tickets to Magikland, he said.The first 700 minors with free entrance tickets will be accommodated at the park daily, Naria said....
