
Mayor: Use of face shields in some areas still mandatory
The use of face shields will remain mandatory in some areas of Bacolod City, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said in Executive Order No. 54, Series of 2021.Leonardia, in his EO released Wednesday, November 17, said in compliance with the memorandum of the Office of the President, the use of face shields in Bacolod City that is under Alert Level 2 will be voluntary or optional in public places.However, there will be continuing mandatory use of face shields in areas declared to be under granular lockdown, and in healthcare, medical or quarantine facilities, he said.Leonardia said with the optional use of face shields, Bacolod residents are still encouraged to continue to observe minimum public health standards while participating in the widespread immunization program of the city governme...
