
22 Bacolod barangays have no COVID cases
Twenty-two of Bacolod City’s 61 barangays were COVID-19 free Tuesday, November 9, Dr. Chris Sorongon, Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF) deputy for medical data and analysis, said.Bacolod City also only had 14 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, he added.EOC-TF Executive Director Em Legaspi Ang said 42 percent of Bacolod’s target population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.She also said 87 percent of the Bacolod target population has now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines.Sorongon and Ang attributed the decrease in COVID-19 cases in the city to the intensified vaccination efforts among pediatric population, ongoing house-to-house campaign and vaccination drive in puroks and remotest areas of Bacolod on top of the aggressive contact-tracing and ...
