Suspected shabu found inside abandoned motorcycle in Bacolod

Thirteen sachets of suspected shabu worth an estimated P91,800  found inside an abandoned motorcycle were brought to Police Station 2 in Bacolod City for verification, police said Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The motorcycle, a white-and-black Honda Click without a plate number, was initially found abandoned following a reported traffic incident in Purok Ylac, Barangay 1, at around 2:34 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the unidentified male driver  left the area before the responding traffic investigator arrived.

The motorcycle was later brought to Police Station 2 at the corner of B.S. Aquino and Aguinaldo streets in Barangay 4 for verification of its documents.

At around 5:45 p.m., police discovered 13 sachets containing a substance suspected to be shabu inside the motorcycle’s under-seat storage compartment.

The suspected illegal drugs had an estimated standard drug price of P91,800, police said.

The recovered items were secured for documentation and will be submitted to the Bacolod City Crime Laboratory for examination to determine their composition.

Police are continuing efforts to identify the motorcycle’s driver and establish the circumstances surrounding the recovered suspected drugs.*
