An 18-year-old female student was injured during a Christmas Eve fireworks display in Sitio Patay, Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on December 24 while the victim was watching the festivities in her neighborhood, the police reported on Tuesday, Dec. 30
She was accidentally hit by a pyrotechnic, resulting in blast burn injuries to her abdomen and forearm, the report said.
The victim was immediately transported to Gumersindo Hospital for medical treatment and was later advised by medical staff to return home to recover.*
