The Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Finance began its hearings on the P5.5 billion proposed 2024 budget for Negros Occidental at the SP session hall at the Capitol in Bacolod City on Wednesday, November 8, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said.
“My target for the approval of the 2024 budget is the first week of December,” Ferrer said.
The Committee on Finance headed by Board Member Rommel Debulgado began summoning the heads of the various departments to explain and defend their proposed budgets on Wednesday.
The P5.5 billion proposed 2024 budget, is more than P400 million higher than the P5.1 billion 2023 budget of the Negros Occidental provincial government.*
