The Governor Bong Lacson Age Group and Seniors invitational softball tournament opens in Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, November 6.
To open and welcome the tournament players is Barangay Captain Ronald Olvido of host Blumentrit Murcia with Murcia Municipal Mayor Gerry Rojas to deliver his message and Provincial Sports Office head Anthony Carlo Agustin to introduce the participants and declare the tournament open, a press release from the PSO said Thursday, November 3.
Game opener will be the softball team of ETCS Majors pitted against the Blumentrit Murcia softbelles.
For the age group division, participating players are Dizon- Sayson elementary school of Blumentrit Murcia, ETCS Bacolod City, Brgy E. Lopez Silay City,
For the juniors division, three teams will compete coming from Bacolod City National High School, NOHS Nehros Occidental and Bgy E. Lopez National High School in Silay City.
The Seniors division games will have eight teams from Bacolod City, Escalante City, La Carlota Ciry, Murcia Negros Occidental, Silay City, BCNHS Bacolod, NOHS Negros Occ.
The tournament starting November 6 will end on November 27 to determine and declare the respective champions.
Awarding ceremonies will be handled by Rodito Badian, principal of the Doña Monserrat Lopez National High School in Silay City, and the entire event will be managed by the Provincial Sports Office along with the legendary softball coach Antonio Oquindo Jr.*PR
